Everything worth knowing before, and after, the bottle arrives.

How to Wear an Eau de Parfum

Apply to warm points of skin — the inner wrists, the base of the throat, behind the ears. Do not rub; rubbing breaks the structure of the scent and shortens its life. Fragrance carries furthest from skin that is moisturized, so apply after, never before, your skincare. For a quieter presence, one spray into the air, walked through.

Concentration

Every chapter of L'Arbre de Vie is an eau de parfum, composed in house. Concentration shapes how a fragrance unfolds: an eau de parfum opens with intent, settles into its heart within the hour, and stays close to the skin for the rest of the day. How long it lasts on you depends on your skin, the season, and the chapter — the oud chapters of Les Racines tend to linger longest.

Sizes

Each fragrance is offered as a 50 ml eau de parfum and a 2.5 ml travel spray. The Discovery Set gathers all eight chapters in 2.5 ml, presented in story order.

The Complimentary Sample

Every full-size bottle ships with a 2.5 ml sample of your choosing — select it in your bag before checkout. It is there so the bottle can remain sealed and giftable until you have met the scent on your own skin.

Caring for Your Fragrance

Perfume keeps best in cool, stable shade — a drawer or its coffret, never a sunlit shelf or a steamy bathroom. Kept well, an eau de parfum holds its character for years.

Safety & Sensitivity

Our formulations follow IFRA safety standards. Fragrances are for external use on skin and clothing kept away from eyes; if you have known sensitivities, test on a small area of skin first, and consult the ingredient information on each coffret. Questions about a specific material are always welcome at support@muskdelumiere.com.

Shipping & Returns

Shipping is complimentary on all orders within the United States. Returns are accepted within the terms of our return policy. For anything else, Contact & Assistance is the fastest way to reach the House.
